At CURABIS, we believe that a successful implementation of Dynamics Business Central begins with a deep understanding of your organisation’s Quote to Cash (Q2C) and Procure to Pay (P2P) processes. That’s why we’ve developed a comprehensive workshop tailored to help you navigate these vital workflows with confidence and clarity.

Focus on your future implementation

Our workshop is designed to be interactive, informative, and highly practical, ensuring that you and your team gain the insights and skills needed to implement Dynamics Business Central effectively. Led by our team of experienced consultants, the workshop covers all aspects of the Q2C and P2P processes, from order creation to receipt of final payment.

Processes in focus

During the workshop, we dive deep into each process, exploring how your organisation currently handles the various steps and identifying areas for improvement. Whether you face complex sales cycles, varying pricing structures, or intricate procurement procedures, our workshop provides the guidance and expertise needed to optimise your operations and maximise efficiency.

One of the key outcomes of the workshop is the creation of a detailed summary and gap-fit document. This document serves as a guide for your Dynamics Business Central implementation, outlining the specific areas where the platform can add value to your organisation and highlighting any gaps that need to be addressed.

Insight and understanding

By leveraging the insights gained from the workshop, we work collaboratively with your team to tailor the implementation guidance to your unique business needs. Whether it’s adapting workflows, integrating third-party applications, or configuring system settings, we ensure that Dynamics Business Central aligns with your organisation’s goals and strategies.

But our commitment to your success doesn’t end with the workshop. We provide ongoing support and guidance throughout the entire implementation process, ensuring a smooth and successful transition to Dynamics Business Central. From data conversion to user training, we’re with you every step of the way—helping you realise the platform’s full potential and drive business growth.

A discovery workshop is a structured process in which a company, together with a Microsoft partner, maps its business processes before a Business Central implementation or upgrade. The workshop identifies where standard Business Central functionality meets the requirement (fit) and where customisation, extension or process change is needed (gap). The result is a decision base that reduces risk, defines scope and sets a concrete implementation plan. CURABIS runs discovery workshops focused on Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P).

Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) is the end-to-end business process covering every step from initial customer quote to receipt of payment. In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Q2C covers quoting, order creation, pricing, credit control, delivery, invoicing, payment handling and posting to the general ledger. Optimising Q2C reduces order processing time, error rates and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), and it is typically the first process area analysed in a Business Central implementation.

Procure-to-Pay (P2P) is the complete purchasing process from identifying a need to paying the supplier. In Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, P2P covers supplier requests, requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, invoice matching (3-way match), approval workflow and payment. Effective P2P reduces purchasing costs, supports compliance and provides real-time visibility into commitments. P2P, together with Q2C, is one of the two core processes CURABIS covers in its workshop programme.

A gap-fit analysis is a systematic comparison between a company's business requirements and the standard functionality of an ERP system such as Business Central. Each requirement is classified as "fit" (covered by standard), "configurable" (covered through setup), "extension" (requires development as an AL extension) or "gap" (requires process change or a third-party solution). The analysis quantifies development scope, identifies risks and forms the basis for estimate, scope and implementation plan in a Business Central project.

A typical discovery workshop runs between 1 and 5 days depending on company size, number of business units and process complexity. Q2C and P2P workshops are often delivered as separate sessions of 1 to 2 days each. Preparation and documentation add another 5 to 10 working days to the total delivery. CURABIS adapts format and duration to the company's setup and delivers a detailed summary, gap-fit analysis and implementation roadmap after the workshop.

A Business Central discovery workshop should include both business and IT representatives. For Q2C, attendees typically include the sales manager, customer service, order processing, finance manager and a super user. For P2P, attendees include the purchasing manager, warehouse manager, accounts payable, finance manager and a super user. The project manager, IT lead and any process owner attend as well. The workshop is led by an experienced Business Central consultant who facilitates the mapping, identifies improvement potential and documents the decisions.

After a CURABIS discovery workshop, three concrete documents are delivered: (1) a detailed process summary mapping the current Q2C and P2P flows, (2) a gap-fit analysis showing where Business Central adds value out of the box and where customisation or process change is needed, and (3) an implementation roadmap with concrete steps, responsibilities and timeline. The deliverable acts as the decision base and scope document for the subsequent implementation project.
